What the press would say:

Edward Albee's Tony Award-winning play comes to the screen, raising all the questions no modern screenwriters or directors will ask. "The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?" is a daring, provocative piece that delves into the depths of social constraints on the individual _expression of love. Soderbergh's intimate direction aids the story with perfection. Albee himself adapted the screenplay from his stage play in an effective manner. Thomas Newman's haunting score accentuates the hollow, empty feeling as do Conrad L. Hall's cinematography and Tim Hatley's design.
